Would you like to admire the town of Durbuy during your vacation? From Camping Polleur, you can be in this beautiful place in less than an hour's drive. Durbuy is not one of the main tourist attractions of Wallonia for nothing. Durbuy is known as the smallest town in the world and is popular with travelers partly because of this.
Durbuy is a Walloon town in the Belgian province of Luxembourg and has about 11,000 inhabitants. However, most people live in villages around the historic city center. In the Middle Ages, Durbuy was an important trade and industrial center, which is why it was granted "city" status in 1331, despite its low population. Today, Durbuy is known as the "smallest town in the world. Whether it is really so is not entirely clear, as it is not entirely clear whether the surrounding villages belong to Durbuy. In any case, it does ensure that thousands of tourists visit this beautiful town every year.
'Smallest town in the world'
The picturesque center is very atmospheric and photogenic. In fact, the city has only a few streets. Many tourists take a walk through all the little streets and then grab a terrace. Durbuy is beautifully situated in the green mountains of the Ardennes. This region has a nice climate and in summer the weather is usually lovely. In short, perfect for a nice day out during your vacation.
Vacations in the Ardennes
The Ardennes offer something for everyone. Whether you come for peace and quiet, nature, culture or outdoor activities. Both young families, groups, young couples and the elderly like to come here for a wonderful vacation. Young families often spend their day at the pool or in one of the many streams. Older children and groups can go mountain biking, rafting, quad biking or participate in one of the other challenging activities. Older people often come for rest. They visit the beautiful towns and interesting museums in the area or enjoy a good book around the campsite by the caravan. The Ardennes are also popular with anglers because of the many natural waters in the region. Less than a five-minute walk from the campsite is a fishing pond.
